Enjoy a Fall Hike in San Luis Obispo
Hiking is such a fun and healthy activity! It can be a great way to get your heart rate up and enjoy the nice fall weather. As the weather cools down, longer hikes can be on the horizon. With some of the best views and beautiful fall colors, fall is a great time to get outdoors and get a breath of fresh air near our apartments in San Luis Obispo.
San Luis Obispo has some great hiking trails to discover. Here are some favorites:
The tallest mountain of the Nine Sisters is Bishop Peak. The trail is 1,559 feet tall from base to summit. Covered in rocks, bushes, and few trees, this hike is one of the most popular in the area.
The colors of the leaves and bushes are changing to that fall orange-brown and making the hike even better. The views are indescribable and overlook Cal Poly, Laguna Lake, downtown San Luis Obispo, and more! Take a deep breath of the fall crisp air at the top and be proud! Enjoy the views and stay awhile taking it all in.
MADONNA MOUNTAIN – CERRO SAN LUIS
There are many trails to explore all of Cerro San Luis mountain. This mountain is also a part of the Nine Sisters chain and is 1,292 feet tall. This hike is close to downtown and really popular for its views of the city and beautiful landscapes.
This mountain is covered in grass, trees, and various bushes. These all change to beautiful colors of bright green grass and orange fall colors as the weather cools and the rain comes in.
Getting out in the cooler weather and finding some stunning views can be the best thing to clear your mind. Having some peace of mind, fresh air, and the best home will lead to a happy fall.
